The Center for Atomic-scale Materials Design (CAMD) at DTU Physics is looking for an outstanding candidate for a 2-year post doc position within the field of computational materials discovery. The position is part of the newly established Center of Excellence on Novel Materials Discovery (NoMaD). The position will be primarily at DTU but extended visits at the other groups of the CoE are possible. Responsibilities and tasks The research position will involve the development of new software to support electronic structure calculations and strategies to standardize output of such calculations to enable efficient storage, exchange and analysis of atomic-scale simulations. The main aim of the research is to explore new routes for accelerated materials discovery with particular focus on materials for solar energy conversion. The project will benefit from our local Linux supercomputer which is ideally suited for large-scale computational materials design. Qualifications The candidate should hold a PhD or equivalent degree in physics, chemistry or materials science. Candidates must have a strong background in computational materials science and scientific programming. Previous experience with atomic-scale quantum mechanical simulation software as well as code development is desirable.
