A position for a 3-years PhD study at the Technical University of Denmark, Department of Chemistry, Centre for Catalysis and Sustainable Chemistry is available with start as soon as possible for the candidate. Responsibilities and tasks The student will be involved in a Horizon 2020 Project with 10 partners from 4 different European Countries working on catalysis and separation by ionic liquid based materials. Qualifications Candidates should have a master's degree in engineering or a similar degree with an academic level equivalent to the master's degree in engineering. We expect a candidate with background in ionic liquid chemistry and handling, including experience from experimental work, preferentially covering also the use of continuous flow test rigs at elevated temperatures and pressures. Also experience with spectroscopic investigation methods like FTIR, NMR, ESR, Raman and UV-VIS and instrumental analytical methods like GC-MS, LC, TGA, DTA, DSC, ICP and CF will be an advantage for the candidate. Approval and Enrolment The scholarships for the PhD degree are subject to academic approval, and the candidates will be enrolled in one of the general degree programmes of DTU.
