A Senior Research Scientist position is now available in the Centre for Catalysis and Sustainable Chemistry (CSC) at DTU Chemistry, Technical University of Denmark. CSC is applying an application-oriented research strategy and employs currently 4 faculty and about 20 graduates/post graduates in an international environment. Responsibilities and tasks You will be engaged in development of various solid catalyst formulations and process intensification in conversion of refinery feed stocks to commodity chemicals in flow reactors. The project will be closely linked to collaborative research projects with other university partners and chemical industry and involve inorganic synthesis, structural characterization, and catalyst testing. Qualifications A successful candidate should have a PhD degree in chemistry or chemical engineering with a strong background in experimental chemistry. The ideal candidate has a strong postgraduate background in inorganic chemistry and catalysis with documented experience and publication track record in several of the areas: materials synthesis, homogeneous/heterogeneous catalysis, ionic liquid technology and flow synthesis. Candidates must have ability to work independently, to plan and carry out complicated tasks, to supervise project students and to be a part of a large, dynamic group. Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English are mandatory.
