About the department Global Safety IT is a team of 8 employees and additionally works closely with 7 employees in GS-GSC Bangalore. The department is responsible for delivering drug safety data and reports as well as implementing and supporting IT systems relevant for Global Safety and stakeholders. To help us manage this we need a highly skilled manager who is able to think strategically, engage in dialogue with senior management and understand how to maintain high motivation in the team. The Job We expect high performance, drive and the ambition to make your mark on our business. You will have a key role in ensuring the continued roll-out of Global Safety’s new business intelligence platform (OBIEE) while balancing efforts to maintain existing processes. You will be in charge of your team and are expected to manage work, securing deliverables, deadlines, change management and the budget for system maintenance. You will be chairing a change advisory board for systems and standard reports, facilitating prioritisation of development. Furthermore, you will be a key driver in the creation of the annual IT strategy for Global Safety. You will report to the Director of GS IT & Projects. Qualifications You have +5 years of successful work experience, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry and have a talent for people management with previous management experience. You have an academic background with a master degree in IT, engineering, science, business administration or equivalent. Furthermore, you are good at securing buy-in and commitment from key stakeholders and you are confident at communicating with many organisational levels. You possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. As a person you are pro-active, structured and action-oriented, and you are able to stay focused in a complex and challenging environment. You are a team player and excellent in building strong working relationships with all types of stakeholders. You have the ability to quickly learn new processes and to deliver without compromising on quality. You are fluent in written and spoken English.
