Haldor Topsøe A/S is a rapidly growing international company with an ambitious target of increasing revenue from currently 5 billion DKK to 30 billion in 2025. To support the growth we have established a new Corporate Quality, Environment, Health & Safety, and Regulatory Affairs function (Corporate QEHS & RA). We offer a challenging job as Health & Safety Advisor within chemistry. Our new colleague will be part of the Health & Safety Department together with four motivated colleagues. The Corporate Health & Safety Department has two main functions; firstly, we act globally to set standards within HS and implement projects across our production sites and in our regional offices (e.g. China and Russia). Secondly, we advise the company’s 1500 employees locally in Lyngby. Therefore, it is important that you can work both practically giving advice about working within chemistry and also more comprehensively and strategically within the area. Your responsibilities Corporate chemical advisor Local practical chemical advisor Global approval of personal protective equipment Global advisor in relation to chemical exposure limits Ensure we are up to date on HS chemistry legislation Manage global and local emergency preparedness Set global standards for chemical measurements, chemistry, and preparedness. You Are a strong communicator and educator Are positive, open-minded, and have a sense of humor Are prepared to travel when necessary Have excellent cooperation skills Have a pro-active approach. Qualifications You have a chemical background – chemical engineer, chemist, or equivalent. You have several years of practical experience within advising in chemistry on both a practical and a strategic level in a large organization. Furthermore, you are an experienced project manager, and it will be an advantage if you have experience working with emergency preparedness and a flair and interest for databases. We expect you to be fluent in Danish. Good command of English, both oral and written, is required.
