Description Do you want to work in an international company with monthly reporting and drive our SOX testing? Radiometer Medical ApS, Finance Department for the Radiometer Group is looking for a Financial Accountant with responsibilities in reporting, accounting and control compliance. Your overall responsibilities will be reporting of the financial statement for Radiometer Medical in Copenhagen both internally and externally, review and SOX self-testing of internal controls, drive implementation of compensating controls and some general accounting. As Financial Accountant you will report to the Manager, Financial Reporting Susanne Olsen. You will be part of Radiometer Medical’s financial organization of approx. 40 people and specifically in a team with 3 experienced colleagues. Further you will cooperate closely with colleagues throughout the Copenhagen organization as well as with external auditors. The job To become successful, you must have a personal drive and be able to plan your own time in order to meet all deadlines. Your responsibilities and tasks will include: •Participate in the monthly reporting for Radiometer Medical ApS. •Reporting to Danish Authorities e.g. Statistics Denmark, Danmarks Nationalbank etc. •Drive the SOX testing, which takes place twice a year. •Make sure we have the necessary internal controls to be SOX compliant. Suggest possible solutions to SOX issues, and drive the implementation of any new internal controls and compensating controls. •Prepare documentation for both internal and external auditors, and assist the auditors during audit visits. Give input for management response to any audit findings. •Accounting for specific areas ensuring adequate accruals made before month end. •Perform ad hoc analyses of Radiometer Medical financial reporting. However, we believe that the following formal qualifications will improve your chances of success: •Financial education expected from Business school, e.g. HA, HD or similar. •Competencies from a Finance or Audit function related to financial reporting and internal controls. •Experience with general accounting is a requirement. •Experience with SOX will be an advantage. •English required, both written and spoken. •Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Access. The reporting is based on data from our ERP system through Access and analyzed and reported through Excel. •General experience with ERP-systems, preferably Navision or Axapta.
