Then we might have an exciting position for you as Senior Electronic Hardware Engineer at Oticon Medical. Oticon Medical is committed to improve the quality of life of profoundly deaf patients. For that, we develop implantable medical devices and surgical techniques to restore profound hearing loss. One of our main areas of focus, is the development of a cochlear prosthesis to restore hearing to kids suffering of inherited deafness, and to adults suffering of sensorial hear loss from age-related degeneration or accidents. We believe that the superior hearing rehabilitation resides on smart neurostimulation and biomedical sensing capabilities. To innovate on this path and to leverage the potential of the newly introduced devices, Oticon Medical is seeking for motivated and innovative engineers. Environment: The successful applicant will work in a multi-disciplinary team to support cochlear implant system development. This position will be responsible for specification, design, implementation of the electronic solutions for cochlear implant systems. Responsibilities and Accountabilities: - Participate in electronic architecture definition and electronic specifications - Conducts FMEA to evaluate reliability and ensure there are no product safety/liability concerns - Develop electronics hardware for cochlear implants products (according to the electronic design control process) - Develop test plans to verify the design according to of the electronic design specifications - Verify and validate hardware design and implementation through a combination of simulation and physical laboratory testing of existing and new products under development - Performing sensitivity, reliability, failure mode, parts stressing and worst case analyses to determine the optimum approach for the design, and to predict performance of the system for the expected operational and environmental conditions Qualifications: - Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering - More than 3 years of proven experience designing complex electronic circuits - Experience in designing analog and mixed electronic circuits with strong constraints (interference, integration, very low power consumption, high performance, reliability, etc.) - Knowledge in EMI and EMC aspects. - Experience creating electronic schematics using Cadstar and/or Cadence - Understanding of acoustics and audio signal processing highly desired. - Experience working in medical and highly regulated environments desired - Ability to work with team of engineers and to handle multiple projects simultaneously - Strong team player, enthusiastic, with a willingness to learn and contribute to a challenging array of projects. - Experience working with cross-professional teams. - Good communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills. - Fluency in English (spoken/written) We dare to make a difference Together with skilled colleagues, you are part of a dynamic environment based on trust and openness, and you will experience a strong will to win.
