Leveraging the projected growth in the Mining sector is critical to our success. To support the Industry and Regions to capitalize on these opportunities, we have an immediate opening for a Strategy and Business Development professional. This position can be located in Salt Lake City at one of the Mining Industry hubs or in Valby where the Industry President resides.

Detailed Description

Strategy & Business Development Manager is accountable for:

  • Driving the Industry strategy development, including the alignment of global strategies and regional business plans and identifying geographical and technology offering "white spots" and initiatives in collaboration with Regional teams
  • Implementing the strategy in a clear and effective manner
  • Managing the organic and inorganic growth (e.g. M&A) initiatives
  • Establishing best practices for account management and sales, including CRM, Bid Sign-Off, and Dealer Management
  • Sales Processes and Efficiency, including development and maintenance of Balanced Scorecards
  • Gather, monitor and analyze industry market trends and competition; share knowledge and input to drive growth
  • Global oversight and rationalization of indirect sales channels utilized by the various Regions

Job Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • Extensive experience building and implementing transformational strategies
  • Global business development skills and business acumen in the mining industry
  • Experience in navigating and operating in a matrix organization
  • Academic degree and fluency in English; additional language skills are helpful
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization with a high degree of integrity
  • Pragmatic and hands on who can operate at a strategic and operational level
  • Excellent networker who builds trusting relationships with peers and team members
