Do you have the technical and managerial skills to take on the challenge as leader in a highly specialised team? And can you ensure that approvals in general is running smoothly in the entire organisation? Then you could be the Approvals Director we are looking for in our internal service provider unit Danfoss Global Approvals (DBS-A). In DBS-A, we advise on and provide product approvals focusing on compliance with directives, standards and legal requirements nationally as well as internationally within the fields of product safety, environment and energy/performance. We are in close cooperation with our partners, among others Danfoss business units and approval authorities worldwide. Your new job is located in Nordborg and entails approx. 30 travelling days per year. The team includes few employees in China and Germany Management and appliance of product approval processes Your overall mission is to ensure that Danfoss Global Approvals is acknowledged as highly competent in all aspects regarding product certification. This implies developing and sharing best practices in approval processes, as well as attracting, developing and retaining well qualified specialists, and ensuring that they are used as experts in approval matters across the Danfoss organisation. You will become head of a team of highly competent professional experts providing support and service for all global members of the Danfoss Group and associated companies. More specifically your tasks will be to: •act as operational manager for the department’s business processes according to Danfoss’ general systems (finance, human resource, information technology, corporate policies, ethics, anti-corruption etc.) •analyse and set direction and objectives for DBS-A to meet partners’ future needs for competences and support – define, plan and execute •find allied in divisions and business units to form initiatives to corporate coordination, sharing best practice and system setup for product certification issues •ensure compliance, set corporate standards and guidelines and share best operational practice in the Danfoss Group to comply with regulations and legal requirements in markets where we are doing business. •communicate and increase awareness of and highlight responsibility for product compliance for all relevant employees in the organisation from operators to top management •manage development, implementation and hosting of Danfoss tools for DBS-A services supporting the Core & Clear and One Company strategy, e.g. intranet based Group Certificate – and Declaration database, External Membership database Engineer with communication skills and passion for people management You hold a MSc/BSc in electronics or mechanical engineering, and you have strong knowledge of product approval as well as experience as people manager for engineers in R&D, Supply Chain or Consulting Support in an industrial company. You have a passion for people management, quality, technology and standardisation details. You are experienced in coaching technically skilled employees with strong personalities. You are outgoing and have a good sense of humor. You are comfortable in an informal atmosphere and have strong communication skills.
