Would you like to join a team of highly skilled employees working with the installation of offshore wind farms? Join DONG Energy and become Offshore Installation Manager in the department Offshore Cable Installation. We are DONG Energy’s competence centre for cable installation and responsible for the installation of marine cables for all our wind farms. In the department, you will have the opportunity to spar professionally with 25 committed and enthusiastic colleagues. Offshore Cable Installation is part of Wind Power, which has 1400 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. Wind Power is the world’s largest developer and operator of offshore wind power, and we use our unique knowledge in all phases of our wind turbine projects. During the last 20 years, we have developed and constructed the largest portfolio of offshore wind farms in Northern Europe. You may choose freely to be based either at our office in Skærbæk near Fredericia or Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area. However, you should expect some travelling in Denmark and abroad and be willing to work on site in periods during the execution phase. Areas of responsibility You will be part of a team focusing on offshore wind farm projects and performing overall analyses, recommendations and optimisation of installation and logistic concepts. You will participate in the development of more weather robust equipment and installation methods combined with optimised construction concepts. Furthermore, your primary tasks will be to: negotiate, recommend and complete contracts for offshore cable installation manage contracts, including coordination of installation activities on the site analyse and optimise installation procedures prior to and during installation coordinate and attend inspections of vessels provided for the projects ensure proactive optimisation of offshore installation works regarding time, costs and QHSE. Your profile You have a relevant engineering background, or alternatively you have obtained equivalent competences, preferably from offshore construction projects. Moreover, you have good project coordination skills and excellent communications skills to enable a professional relationship with your stakeholders. You also have experience with FIDIC and BIMCO contracts. Our projects bring together various employee groups, cultures and authorities, and therefore it is essential that you have strong communication skills and speak and write English fluently. During periods, the atmosphere may be very hectic and it is essential that you can stay calm, maintain the overview and focus on the essentials. You have personal drive and a dedicated and responsible approach to your work. Furthermore, you enjoy sharing your knowledge with your colleagues in the project group and in your department.
