The role offers responsibility and accountability for bookkeeping, reporting and analysis for a geographically-linked portfolio of companies. Key Responsibilities - Overall responsibility for the financial aspects of the portfolio of companies, including high quality and timely preparation of the daily, monthly, quarterly and annual deliverables. - Regular tasks include the day to day bookkeeping and cash management, monthly close and reporting, including joint venture accounting, intercompany reporting, allocations, account analysis and balance sheet reconciliations. - Monthly transfer of data from SAP to the Group's consolidation system (HFM) for each of the companies. - Ensuring compliance with key internal controls is documented. - Preparation of quarterly forecasts and subsequent analyses for the portfolio of companies. - Partnering with the business to facilitate information flows, understanding of the underlying activities and the impact on the numbers. - Regular collaboration with the controlling team to ensure accuracy and understanding of the numbers. - Assisting in the preparation of annual local statutory accounts, annual Danish statutory accounts and Danish tax calculations. Who we are looking for The right candidate will have solid experience with Oil and Gas operational accounting tasks, including partner billings statements, cash calls and fixed asset accounting. Besides from this we are looking for the following qualities: - Masters degree (or similar) in the finance field, thus ensuring a thorough knowledge of accounting concepts and IFRS; the ability to interpret and apply Maersk finance principles and policies in practice is a must. - 2-3 years proven experience in Oil accounting where an understanding of key concepts such as joint venture accounting, operated JVs, non-operated JVs, cash calls, billings, cutback and settlements can be demonstrated. - 2-3 years experience in usage of SAP FI, CO, FA and JV modules (experience in SAP in Oil companies considered advantageous). - Structured and self-motivated, with a high level of attention to detail and quality. - Strong excel skills (vlookup, sumif, pivot tables, complex formulae). - Must be team minded and work together to meet tight monthly, quarterly and annual deadlines in a timely and accurate manner. - Proactive, independent and with a high standard of customer service, adding value to the team and the company. - Fluency in both written and verbal English is mandatory. *LI-SG1 Last application date: 31 January 2015.
