Scientist, Computational Protein Engineering, Copenhagen Do you want to work in an environment in which creativity and challenging the status quo is valued as scientific excellence? If so, you could be our new colleague in the Protein Design department, a small and highly specialized department responsible for designing the enzymes that will become Novozymes’ next products. Working with colleagues in experimental departments, you’ll have responsibility for designing enzyme variants that are improved in our target industrial processes. Alongside an in-depth understanding of computational protein analysis and protein engineering, you also possess strong scripting skills and data analysis skills. In your daily work, you’ll use all of these talents to develop the enzymes that will become tomorrow’s biological solutions to industrial challenges. In this position you need to: have a PhD in protein engineering, biophysics, protein structure determination or similar, and ideally several years of experience have extensive experience with standard protein structure analysis, design and simulation tools such as Pymol, Gromacs, AutoDock, APBS, Rosetta etc. have experience with scripting languages such as Python or R, and you have developed scripts/programs for performing analyses of experimental data, protein sequences and protein structures be good at talking to people who are not computer experts as well as collaborating and contributing in large projects be a self-starter, dedicated, take pride in your work, and have a good sense of humorAre you the next Zymer in our team?
