At CMC Biologics A/S (CMC), we work with the development of biopharmaceutical production processes and GMP manufacturing of proteins for clinical studies and commercial use. As a contract manufacturer, we put the interest of our customer at the forefront. Downstream Process Development currently includes 6 scientists and 6 technicians and we are a part of the Development area, which also include Upstream Process Development, Analytical Development and Process Transfer. Responsibilities and tasks In Downstream Process Development, we work with techniques such as chromatography, filtration and centrifugation to develop protein purification processes. We perform process down-scaling and characterization to define process parameter limits and process robustness. The department is also responsible for virus validation, small-scale protein purification and manufacturing support. The work is usually performed in customer projects in close collaboration with personnel from the manufacturing department as well as the other development departments. Experience and competencies The candidate we are looking for has training as laboratory technician or similar education, is flexible and has a positive attitude. We also expect experience in the following areas: • Protein chemistry. • Protein purification at bench/pilot scale. • Unicorn software. • Working in compliance with quality standards and systems. The position requires the ability to work efficiently in a team but also to independently perform tasks and assume responsibility. Writing of protocols, procedures and other documents is an important part of the job and requires proficiency in English.
