Research Associate for Assay Technology, Bagsværd Page Content Our technology puts us ahead of the curve, and you can help us stay there. From scientific discovery, using cutting edge equipment and techniques, through our proprietary fermentation, recovery and formulation – science is the root of everything we do. As Research Associate in Assay Technology, you will be involved in technology projects mainly focusing on optimizing and automizing work flows in order to maximize efficiency in Global Quality Control laboratories. We have very close collaboration with our counterpart department in China on their optimization projects and these projects mostly address optimization and validation of existing enzyme activity assays. We are a department with 5 chemists and 12 research associates and we are part of the Assay Development and Optimization area located in Denmark, China and the US. Assay Technology is responsible for technology innovation in collaboration with Novozymes' Quality Control laboratories worldwide. You will be driven by ambitious deadlines, and flexibility and collaboration are key words in the department. The technology projects are typically running for 6-12 months, the remaining projects have shorter timelines, and normally you will be allocated to more than one project at a time. You have a high focus on your own daily planning of tasks and responsibilities as you will participate in planning the experiments in the lab, and be involved in data processing and evaluation. In this position you need to have:•An education as lab technician (laborant/industrilaborant/bioanalytiker) •A high quality and analytical approach to your work and an ability to work independently •Focus on delivery, deadlines, collaboration and concrete analytical support. You will use your ability to think both holistically and focus on details and are good at documenting your work •Good skills in English both written and orally •Expertise and interest for technology and analytical platforms (robots, automation processes) •Experience with optical methods, assays and enzymology is desirable •Hands-on experience working in the field of enzyme assays and use of technological solutions, such as from QC lab, development and/or optimization •Strong experimental and analytical skills as well as strong collaborative and team work attributes and the ability to share responsibilities •Experienced Microsoft Office user and knowledge of SAS Jmp is preferred Are you the next Zymer in our team?
