Global EHS is looking for an Environmental Compliance Consultant. About the department Global EHS is the central EHS unit in Novo Nordisk’s Product Supply division. In Product Supply our mission is to be the best within quality, delivery, cost, environment and not the least taking care of and engaging our employees. Global EHS is a key player in succeeding with this mission. In Global EHS we operate with a number of deliverables: Compliance and EHS expert consultancy, EHS Management and training solutions and long term EHS development and EHS strategy execution. The department is located in Bagsværd and consists of 20 highly specialised employees and their managers. The job You are responsible for supporting part of our Danish production sites on environmental compliance by applying for approvals, managing how to follow up on terms stated in approvals and supporting on legal requirements. You use your thorough expertise within environmental legislation at national and EU level to decide the impact on Novo Nordisk. Acting as link between environmental Authorities and the production sites ensures a close and fruitful collaboration in order for the production site to maintain and develop its license to operate. To be successful herewith you are responsible for driving negotiations with the relevant Authorities on environmental approvals and permissions. Qualifications As a minimum you hold a relevant master degree. Most importantly, you have experience working within the area of industrial environmental compliance and you are experienced with environmental and wastewater approvals, assessment of pollution of air, waste regulation, annual reports, external noise etc. We prefer a candidate who possess specialist knowledge of authority processing and risk assessments in relation to sites regulated by the Seveso directive. You possess project management skills and have an analytical and systematic approach to your work. You must demonstrate a high level of execution and quality. Additionally, you are capable of performing both individually and as part of a team. It is important that you are able to collaborate on different levels in the organisation in an effective and constructive manner.
