Description Would you like to join one of the leading technical writing teams in Denmark? Do you want to make a difference for users of medical equipment? As part of the Technical Publications department, you will be part of a small technical writing team creating all of the source content for IFU for Radiometer Medical’s products, working both independently and collaboratively depending on task priorities. You will work with a broad interface of project teams for different product lines, including stakeholders from marketing, engineering, research and development, and project management. You will plan together with a translation manager to ensure that the company gets products to all markets efficiently and on time. Radiometer always pushes for continuous improvement. This fact, combined with Danaher’s drive for excellence within Lean, means that even experienced Technical Writers will be able to learn a lot in this position and experience how they contribute to Radiometer Medical being a best practices company. The job Your responsibilities and tasks will among others include: •Writing and maintaining content for the English source version of product operator and reference manuals, product inserts, etc., for Radiometer’s medical analytical products. •Gathering the information you require to write, from the examination of product test models and from technical development documentation, converting this into easy-to-read user instruction and help material to meet customer goal-oriented needs. •Gaining knowledge of our customers’ needs by Voice-Of-Customer; occasional travel may be required. However, the more of the following qualifications and experience you have, the better are your chances of success: •Excellent English writing skills are essential. Your high level of speaking, reading and writing English will come from either having English as your mother tongue, or from having lived and worked as a technical writer for several years in an English speaking country. •Experience in authoring technical documentation, preferably for a scientific product or medical product •You have a Bachelor’s or preferably a Master’s degree in English, engineering, or the sciences (chemistry or biology). If you also have experience in any of the following, this would be to your advantage: •Writing using simplified technical English •Authoring using DITA topic-based writing, metadata, topic re-use and information architecture •Writing using the principles of minimalism •Interest in the future of communication technology •Understanding of the principles of usability and their impact on content readability •Authoring using an XML authoring tool, preferably “XMetaL” To be successful in this job, you must be passionate and committed about
