The role

This is your opportunity to work at one of Denmark’s most promising start-ups, at our office in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY. Having broken crowdfunding records in 2014, today Airtame continues to steadily develop its product and services while growing our amazing team.

We are looking for a Technical Support Representative who will provide excellent technical assistance, and help reassure users through providing thoughtful solutions and communicating that you care about their experience with Airtame. You will join our international Customer Success Team, where we all strive to provide precise, timely, and friendly help to each customer, whether they have one or one thousand Airtames. This means being there for customers throughout the onboarding, activation, and retention phases to make their journey enjoyable.

Your tasks

  • Help our customers, big or small, with fully implementing Airtame into their organizations. This will involve everything from troubleshooting Airtame itself, to solving contextual issues related to a user’s computer, access points, or the existing network setup within a particular setting.
  • Serve as a technical expert when covering incoming correspondence via live chat, email, and phone calls.
  • Work alongside our sales representatives to help customers complete full rollouts of Airtame and, occasionally, to train resellers.
  • Channel feedback to rest of company, especially when collaborating with our Technical Support team based in Copenhagen, as well as with our engineering team to help define bugs as well as track the impact of bugs and fixes.
  • Contribute to the ongoing internal learning and success of our team by sharing knowledge through mentorship and collaboration.

Requirements

  • Passionate about helping people and willing to go the extra mile in order to see customers use Airtame to its full potential.
  • 1-2 years experience doing technical support and working with networks.
  • Tech savvy and enthusiastic about emerging technologies, and an advanced user of Windows, MacOS, Android, and iOS.
  • Basic network knowledge and an understanding of the principles of setting up a home network and configuring a router.
  • Highly-motivated team player with a drive for getting things done and seeing new and unforeseen challenges as exciting ways for improvement.
  • Willing to go beyond your technical comfort zone and learn more about networks, log file debugging, and advanced app management.
  • Willing to work from our office in the heart of Williamsburg.
  • Excellent English communication skills.

None of the following are required skills, but they will help you stand out from other applicants, and ultimately help contribute to our current team in a meaningful way.

  • Educational background in IT or support.
  • Basic understanding of VLANs, NAT, ACL, PIM, Wireshark and routing protocols.
  • Understanding the principles of wireless streaming technology.
  • Hands-on experience with corporate network administration.
  • Experience with content writing and video editing for creating self-help content, such as articles and tutorials for our customers.
