About the department CMO Operation and Logistics, is a newly formed VP area within Contract & Local Manufacturing (CLM). We develop and improve the way Novo Nordisk work with international contract manufacturing organisations (CMOs). We ensure stable supply of products and robust manufacturing processes that secures deliveries of high quality products that live up to Novo Nordisk standards. The job As Supply Manager in CLM you will manage the daily operation of CMOs with emphasis on ensuring delivery of products and following up performance. The job is situated in the VP area CMO operations and logistics, either in the department of CMO tablet and packaging or in CMO aseptic production. The main focus is to ensure the daily business within Novo Nordisk externally manufactured and packed products. The job requires a broad understanding of how Novo Nordisk operates and also an interest in understanding, working with and overcoming how our CMOs operate. As you will be working with a manufacturing of technical character some expertise within pharmaceutical manufacturing and validation will be required. You will be working closely with our logistics and quality departments and with international CMOs and hence some travel activities must be expected. You must collect, analyse and evaluate all necessary information required and subsequently build transparent and efficient communication system with the CMO and our internal stakeholders with focus on timely execution, cost control and lead time optimisation. It is also part of your job to report project status to CLM management via visual boards and following up progress with the CMO. There will also be Change Requests and Non-conformities in relation to the daily business and it is expected that these will be handled timely and diligently. The CMOs are managed by a CMO lead, improvement and extension projects are handled by a project manager and you will need to collaborate and operate in this matrix, managing expectations of internal and external stakeholders. Qualifications There are several entries into this job. Your background and educational training can either be a degree within pharmaceutics, engineering, chemistry or equivalent paired with a flair for operating in a cross-functional environment. You have 3-5 years practical experience within manufacturing in the pharmaceutical industry and a special interest in ensuring deliveries on time. You must be familiar with the Lean principles and have knowledge of quality systems, cGMP and ISO 9001. Good project management skills, solid communication skills, timely deliveries and a natural interest in building long-lasting relationships with international CMOs are other important qualifications. You can persistently follow through on plans and secure buy-in and commitment from stakeholders at all levels. To succeed, you need to be detailed and analytical, you create respect and credibility and you use your splendid business understanding as well as a high degree of flexibility to deal with all the unforeseen challenges.
