Would you like to handle business support to our Subsurface department, and do you want to combine your theoretical studies with hands-on experience? Join DONG Energy Exploration & Production as soon as possible as Student Assistant in the Subsurface department which is responsible for exploration and production from existing and future oil and gas fields. Your work will include many technical disciplines of geotechnical and engineering sciences as well as administrative tasks. The Subsurface department is a part of Exploration & Production which has 600 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. We explore for and produce oil and natural gas. Today our activities are centred in the seas off Denmark, Norway and the United Kingdom, and we have an ambitious growth strategy with many exciting projects in the pipeline. You will be based at our office in Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area, and you will work approximately 15-20 hours a week to be planned according to our needs and your study plan. Areas of responsibility As Student Assistant, your primary tasks will range from archival tasks and other administrative assistance as well as more routine engineering tasks, such as data-conditioning and updating databases. The areas of responsibility of the department has changed recently and many of the tasks focus on getting administrative systems in place. During holiday periods, there may be an opportunity to work full time, and you may be involved more in the engineering work. Your profile You are pursuing an education relevant to the oil and gas industry, such as a degree in geoscience communication or engineering. Preferably, you have just started the last year of your bachelor degree or the first your of your master’s degree. As a person, you are well-structured, proactive and can work independently. Furthermore, you are an experienced user of Office. You are able to plan and prioritise your tasks and to work up against predefined deadlines. Additionally, you are able to set high standards for the quality of your work and follow up on delegated tasks and decisions. Preferably, you also have knowledge of Oracle, Visual Basic and SQL. As we operate in an international environment, it is essential that you speak and write English fluently, and that you have a proactive and enthusiastic approach to learning. Additionally, we expect that you are able to work with us for at least two years.
