You will join our Offshore Structures department

As our new Structural Engineer, you will be part of a department in Ramboll Energy that counts more than 60 employees primarily located in Denmark, but the department do also have teams in Norway, India and Qatar. The department is primarily working with new design and reassessment incl. service life extension of substructures/jackets for both the offshore Oil & Gas industry and the Offshore Wind industry. The department offers also services within advanced detailed finite element analyses (ANSYS), inspection planning, hazard (fire and explosion) engineering, noise and vibration assessment and finally structural health monitoring systems (SHMS).

 

Your key tasks and responsibilities include:

• New design of offshore substructures/jackets incl. input for 3D and 2D drafting.
• Reassessment of and service life extension of aging offshore platforms.
• Setup and run complex analyses (ROSAP, SACS and/or SESAM).
• Detailed design of structural details.
• Engineering related to structural health monitoring, noise and vibration assessment, inspection planning and fire and explosion analyses.
• Preparation of installation and/or removal procedures incl. input to animation movies.

• Master’s degree in structural, naval or mechanical engineering.
• Sound knowledge of structural steel design, static and dynamic engineering.
• 0-5 years of working experience as a structural engineer within the offshore industry.
• Solid knowledge of Excel, MathCad, Matlab and preferably ANSYS, Workbench and LS-DYNA.
• Excellent oral and written English skills.
