The Capacity Planning department, part of Business Development in Novo Nordisk production, Product Supply, is looking for a strategy consultant, as a temporary (one year) maternity cover for one of our team members. About the department Capacity Planning is part of Business Development in Novo Nordisk production, Product Supply. Business Development is responsible for managing Novo Nordisk investment portfolio, the Product Supply business plan and the long term planning and overview of production capacity for all marketed products as well as products in our development pipeline. The latter is the key responsibility for Capacity Planning – one of three departments in Business Development. The job In Capacity Planning, we work in close cooperation with the other departments in Business Development, the production facilities and sites in Product Supply as well as the forecasting and development units in Novo Nordisk. Our approach is to act as strategic partners, understanding, challenging and communicating both supply and demand forecasts. The basis for our work is strong analytical skills, a stakeholder mind-set, excellent planning competencies and a good understanding of the business in which we operate. As a Strategy Consultant you will become familiar with current and future supply challenges, and you will have an opportunity to make a difference in terms of analyses and recommendations to senior management. You will participate in, and drive, various activities and projects to continuously improve our overall capacity outlook that supports continued robust and cost-effective volume growth in an increasingly globalised production footprint. Selected key tasks include: (i) driving the long-term supply/demand process for a production area, where you will be responsible for securing an evidence-based, flexible and transparent platform for decisions about future capacity development and investments, (ii) contributing to increased pipeline readiness in Product Supply, and (iii) providing input to strategies and risk mitigation processes. The duration of the maternity cover is from: 01-Dec-2015 to 31_Dec-2016. Qualifications We expect that you have a higher education (preferably Master’s Degree) within a relevant discipline e.g. Supply Chain Management, Business or Economics. Excellent stakeholder management skills, an analytical mind-set and an ability to work proactively and independently with an assignment will be assets. As a person you have a high energy, a positive attitude and openness towards other people and new ideas. You have experience with demand planning and/or capacity planning either from a support function or from a more operational unit, preferably in the pharmaceutical sector. We expect you to be confident with data retrieval, analysis, complex decision-making environments and management presentations. You master English fluently; both written and spoken.
