Would you like to contribute to developing a range of exciting projects aimed at recycling and changing household waste into sustainable energy and recycled materials? Join us and become Specialist Process Engineer in New Bio Solutions Concepts, which is responsible for integrating scientific solutions in working plant concepts. Our ambition is to become one of the world's leading suppliers of technology within this field. We currently operate a demonstration plant in the Copenhagen area, and we are building a first-of-its-kind, full-scale plant in the UK. The department is part of Bioenergy & Thermal Power, which has 800 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. We own just below half of the thermal production capacity in Denmark and are at the forefront of the development within efficient use of biomass and reduction of the environmental impact through innovative bio-refining technologies. You will be based at our office in Ballerup in the greater Copenhagen area. However, you should expect some travelling in relation to your work. Your key duties will be to •play an active role in developing new concepts •calculate mass and energy balances from daily operations •aid in technical troubleshooting during commissioning of our new full-scale plant •perform number crunching and analytics in constructing future operating systems. Your qualifications and core competences include that you •have a master's or PhD degree in relevant engineering disciplines, with some experience from working with chemical or biochemical processes and with calculating mass and energy balances •preferably have strong Excel coding skills, strong programming skills (Excel macros (VBA) and/or other languages) and strong skills within systematic data analysis •can work independently, are organised and persistent – entrepreneurship and readiness for change is a precondition – and enjoy working with people from various backgrounds and cultures •have excellent presentation skills, enabling you to understand and communicate complex matters in a professional and straightforward manner to your colleagues and stakeholders •speak and write English fluently.
