Defining, implementing and maintaining tools You will join a team of 8 highly skilled and engaged Java/Eclipse and tooling happy developers. We develop and maintain a modelling and communication tool which is used everywhere from IC-development, over embedded software to our production sites. Everybody uses our tool suite, and because of this, we are central to the success of the organisation in reaching overall business goals. On the CI and Tooling side, we are becoming an essential element in speeding up the development cycle and improving the overall quality within R&D. By applying software practices for CI we add new levels of Quality Assurance to the R&D development process. We are an Agile Scrum-driven team with high ambitions in that area. Your main responsibilities consists of the following: Developer on an advanced modelling environment using the Eclipse Platform/OSGi Maintenance of tooling and build scripts Break new ground on CI in R&D Provide training, support and setup for other teams Your professional background and personal competencies We expect you to have a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent. Furthermore we are looking for the following competencies: Strong competencies in Java or C# – 3+ years of experience Knowledge of Eclipse plugin development preferred Ability to break down very complex build flows into simpler parts Knowledge of good software practices for automation and experience in deploying CI, e.g TeamCity Strong scripting capabilities You characterize yourself as someone who work well within teams and thrive in a supportive role. You possess good communicative skills, both orally and in writing. Lastly, you consider yourself both systematic and structured.
