Are you a natural-born product manager with a commercial mind-set and deep technical knowledge? Would it appeal to you to manage your own product range, and support other product areas by lifting the bar for global strategic thinking? Then you might be the Product Manager we are looking for in Industrial Automation, part of the Danfoss Cooling Segment (DCS), to support us in developing our professional product management even more strategically. You will be managing a product portfolio and securing that actions are taken in order to develop existing product programmes and get new products into the portfolio. For the right person, there will be many opportunities for professional development, and you will become part of our Product Management team consisting of four competent and skilled colleagues. Understanding of customer needs, business plan development & product strategies As a Product Manager, it will be your overall mission to maintain our product portfolio so that it meets the demands from our market segments, and you will be overall responsible for the processes surrounding the products, such as new product variant (NPV), production part approval process (PPAP), change control (CC), product data management (PDM), documentation, complaints, and financial performance. You will also participate in new product development and, in some cases, take the role as Launch Owner. Other responsibilities will include: •Developing and executing product strategies •GGP on our product portfolio in line with financial targets •Developing business plans for product portfolio •Securing that training material is at a high level •Participating in a cross-functional product team of experts from engineering, purchasing, quality and supply chain •Overall responsible for training material •Participating in customer visits to support in deep technical discussions/problem solving With your highly proactive and structured approach to your work, we will rely on you to manage your own product range, and to deliver excellent support to your stakeholders. Customer insight, strategic understanding and commercial mind-set You have a relevant commercial background, e.g. a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in marketing or the like, and a strong interest in the technical aspects, combined with solid experience and a proven track record within product management, including life cycle management or business development. You possess a unique blend of business skills and technical flair enabling you to conceptualise and drive ideas into real-life products. On a more personal note, you are able to work in an environment where priorities often change, and days are difficult to plan. With your global mind-set and excellent communication skills, you are able to communicate efficiently across all levels of the organisation. You are business and customer-oriented, and working together with other experts brings out your best ideas. Furthermore, you are persistent, have excellent analytical skills and are self-driven.
