We offer
Leica Geosystems Machine Control Division is located in the beautiful city of Odense, Denmark. We are a global company of great diversity with employees working across the world, hence you will interface with colleagues in/from many other countries and you can expect international traveling. Based in R&D, you will be tasked with the planning of tests, coordinating the test runs, including communication with selected test customers, and reporting on the results of the tests. Together with the R&D Software Manager, you are responsible for the development and maintainment of a solid set of regression test suites, and push for automation of it. Based on your own work experience you will be able to coach fellow test team members, working as agile tester in scrum teams. To get to know our customer and their needs, we expect you to get your hands dirty testing at our own Test site as well as testing on construction machinery on premises around the world.
Key responsibilities
As Senior Software Test Engineer, you will be improving the processes related to testing, to ensure the quality and stability of machine control products released to market. Your task will include the following:
- Structure and improve existing test suites for our products
- Plan and prioritize test activities
- Perform bench and field testing of our products
- Support the Software Test Team with coaching on test processes and testing on agile teams
We are looking for a strong profile with experience in managing tests and test work
We expect you to a relevant tertiary qualification (BSc degree or higher) in Computing, Technology or equivalent and minimum 5+ years of experience within software testing of integrated systems, preferably within robotics. Aside from this, the following qualities are pivotal:
- Experience working with definition and development of test suites
- Experience with planning of resources needed for tests, including field tests
- Experience working as software tester on a scrum team.
- Experience with testing automation
- Navigvate well in a multi-cultural, multi-location organization
