Vestas Wind Systems A/S, Manufacturing and Global Sourcing, QSE EMEA Sourcing You will be working as Senior Engineer supporting the QSE Sourcing area, part of QSE EMEA Region, for the Tower Internals area. You will be supporting the Tower Internals Category Team within our Global Sourcing organization, and supporting on all quality, safety and environmental (QSE) related projects within that area. As the QSE support within the Category Team, your main responsibility will be to work with suppler assessments and qualification of new parts going into Tower Internals category. Responsibilities: Your main responsibilities and tasks will be as follows: QSE support in Global Category Management team. New supplier qualification and selection (Supplier assessments) New part qualification utilizing PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) Strategic & operational development of key suppliers. Implementation of Supplier score cards and Quality Improvement Plans Improvement projects (LEAN & Six Sigma) Support NPI projects (New Product Introduction) Secure learning/communication loop, with internal stakeholders at our factories and sales business units Qualifications: Qualifications and work experience: You have a relevant bachelor degree in engineering, business or equivalent and you have a minimum of 3 years' work experience in supplier quality development role within mechanical / industrial /Electrical applications, preferably in an international project environment. Ideally, you also have broad insight and practical experience with Advance Quality Planning and Continuous Improvement tools, such as Lean (5S, SOP and VSM) and Six Sigma as well. For new part qualification it will be an advantage to have knowledge on PPAP (Production Part Approval Process). Solid experience from Towers/Tower Internals manufacturing environment will be an advantage, as you will be heavily involved with improvement projects within this area Competencies: Engineer with good communication skills As a person you are independent, enthusiastic and positive, and you have strong interpersonal skills. You are outgoing with excellent communicative skills that enables you to professionally handle internal as well as external stakeholders. You have excellent project management skills with the ability to drive improvement projects across the organization, using your leadership skills in change management; courage and open mindset.
