Would you like to help us identify, prioritise and support product quality improvement projects with impact on our offshore wind farm project pipeline? Join us and become Senior Product Quality Engineer in the Wind Turbines – Quality & Commissioning Management team in our Engineering division. We are responsible for planning, organising and following up on product quality activities related to wind turbine supply, including commissioning and takeover. We are also engaged in handover of turbines to the operational part of Wind Power as well as in identifying quality and supply risks related to new turbine platforms. The department is part of Wind Power which has 1800 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. Wind Power is the world’s largest developer and operator of offshore wind power, and we use our unique knowledge in all phases of our wind turbine projects. During the last 20 years, we have developed and constructed the largest portfolio of offshore wind farms in Northern Europe. You may choose freely to be based either at our office in Skærbæk near Fredericia or in Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area. However, you should expect some travelling in relation to your work. Your key duties will be to •prepare, quality assure and finalise parts of supply and product quality assessment reports •represent our Wind Turbines function in quality forums towards wind turbine suppliers •ensure high quality and clarity in our communication of issues and risks identified •continuously grow the competence level within supply and quality assessment and help increase knowhow in our department and peer departments •increase the level of requirements towards suppliers within supply and quality in relation to tendering and supplier selection processes. Furthermore, you will be responsible for maintaining an overview of the product quality issues and subsequent participation in quality improvement projects within the wind turbine scope of supply. You will also head our team's methodologies, processes and tools ensuring high quality products and furthermore ensure that product quality issues within construction projects are captured, prioritised and implemented based on the business impact. From time to time, you may execute specific projects or workstreams alongside your portfolio work. The role is relatively new in our team, so you will have the opportunity to scope your role. Your qualifications and core competences include that you •hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or similar •have several years of experience in working with quality planning and improvement tools, such as DMAIC and 8D •are able to draw on extensive experience from a relevant position where you have been working in a large project organisation •have good communication skills combined with strong interpersonal skills as you, on both the portfolio level and in the projects, will cooperate with colleagues with varying backgrounds and across different organisational levels •have a strong analytical mind-set •speak and write English fluently as we operate in an international environment. It is furthermore an advantage, but not a requirement, that you have knowledge of wind turbine business and offshore construction projects plus knowledge of quality standards and tools within the automotive industry. Preferably, you are a qualified IRCA Lead Auditor in quality management systems.
