This growing pipeline increases the need for sourcing of novel excipients, critical raw materials for our API manufacturing processes, as well as outsourcing of selected manufacturing processes. These sourcing activities are managed and supported by the CMC Sourcing Support Department. About the department CMC Sourcing Support Department is responsible for all sourcing and outsourcing activities which support a constantly growing development project pipeline. Comprising nine experienced employees, the department is responsible for successfully executing sourcing and outsourcing activities, from selecting a competent collaboration partner, negotiating the contractual framework, to project management of the outsourcing project until all deliverables are completed. The job As a Sr. Outsourcing Manager you will be responsible for executing the new CMC Supply outsourcing strategy and managing various outsourcing projects primarily in the area of chemical synthesis. This includes establishing and maintaining agreements with the suppliers, as well as ensuring timely progress of the outsourcing project deliverables. You will also be responsible for protecting Novo Nordisk intellectual property rights while securing timely supplies in the right documented quality. The position offers you exciting challenges as well as broad organizational exposure. Qualifications You hold an MSc or Ph.D. in Chemistry or Biochemistry or other relevant life science degree in and have at least 5-8 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. You have a thorough understanding of the R&D value chain, and you possess a profound understanding of the drug development processes including a good understanding of cGMP. Preferably you have been working with chemical process development as responsible scientist or project manager at some stage of your career. Experience with outsourcing and negotiation is an advantage. You are an effective communicator and are comfortable and competent in dealing with a broad set of internal stakeholders at all organizational levels. As a person you are proactive, independent and you like to have many different activities running concurrently.
