We are looking for an experienced Backup Specialist in the Netbackup area to join the Backup Operation team. In our team we are eight employees with the responsibility to ensure the operation of Nordea Storage and Backup capabilities. The position we offer Backup Operation team belong to Technical Platform where we are more than 170 skilled technicians and managers. Here you will work with backups in the Midrange area, done by NetBackup and Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM). As a Backup Specialist your primary tasks and responsibilities are to secure daily production in the Netbackup area. The responsibilities include daily follow ups of backups, maintenance and upgrade of the Netbackup environment, configuration and customization, project involvement and evaluating new equipment. You will also be responsible for maintaining compliance levels with governing authorities and ensure that Nordea lives up to the stated requirements. In your role you will work with the Senior Infrastructure Operations Specialists and act as 3rd level support for the IT Supporters, and support the Database Specialist, Network Specialist, IT Operation Analysts and Developers in all tasks related to installation, operation and maintenance of IT infrastructure components and/or applications. You will act on a regional level as well as a global level in all matters related to Infrastructure design, operation, implementation and incidents. The qualifications you need The role of an Veritas Netbackup Specialist requires deep knowledge of the backup and restore area, and particular within Veritas Netbackup such as: - Installation & Configuration - Good at performance tuning - Able to effectively communicate global solutions ensuring continuous development and knowledge sharing - Good at troubleshooting - Represent the team at Design/Planning meetings ensuring knowledge sharing - Analyse security measures to protect the data and ensure reliability and integrity of the infrastructure, and advice others on backup solutions In your work you are very self-driven, but at the same time a good team player. You help others to deal with challenging circumstances, and you enjoy teaching other team members. We believe you can structure information to meet the needs of the intended audience.
