Do you have a background as a Design Engineer or Industrial Designer combined with production insight and leadership experience? Would you like to lead a team that ensures the LEGO building system of endless play is well protected? Then we might have the right opening for you. Leadership in the intersection between development and production You will join Design Lab to lead one of two teams: Element Competence Center (ECC) or Model & Element Platform (MEP). In Design Lab we are responsible for developing, maintaining and protecting our building system, including the 3000+ different LEGO Elements. Thus, you will lead a team that has great responsibility and impact on the future of the LEGO Group and the bricks that are loved by children across the globe. In ECC, you will coach, motivate and allocate necessary resources to a team of specialists who are responsible for: Approving all novelty elements (250-300 a year) Developing element standards and related guides that are used across the LEGO Group Administrating the LEGO Colours and cross organisational projects In MEP, you will coach, motivate and allocate necessary resources to a team of specialists, design managers and project managers who are responsible for: Leading platform projects aimed at developing or optimising our element portfolio of 3000+ elements Developing core elements that are used across many of our products Maintaining and developing element guidelines and platform descriptions that secure the future element systems and platforms in relation to building and play experiences In both positions you will be a member of the Leadership Team in Design Lab to help set the direction and future strategies. Having both technical prowess and design insights along with great communication skills, you can give valuable sparring to team members, stakeholders and business partners as well as do complex presentations when needed. Your qualifications: 3+ years' experience managing a team, preferably in a development environment that has given you a good understanding of the pace and culture in such an environment Ideally, you have an educational background as Industrial Designer or Engineer within a design related field An innovative mind-set and the ability to spot new opportunities for improving processes, building and play experience, or something third You are able to balance the technical side with the design aspect in relation to your team's responsibilities as well as able to shift between thinking design one moment and production the next Fluent in spoken and written English Join the global family of LEGO In the LEGO Group, we succeed together, and you will be part of a global family where you can use your creativity and enjoy a fun working environment across the LEGO Community.
