Are you an experienced cost estimator, looking for an opportunity to contribute to the growth of an up-and-coming exploration & production company? Join us and become Senior Cost Estimator in Project Support & Execution which is responsible for providing project services to all our Exploration & Production projects. We offer services within project management and controls, including cost estimation, cost engineering, planning, document control, quality and risk. The department is a part of Exploration & Production which has 700 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. We explore for and produce oil and natural gas. Today, our activities are centred in the seas off Denmark, Norway and the United Kingdom, and we have an ambitious growth strategy with many exciting projects in the pipeline. You will be based at our office in Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area. However, you should expect some travelling in relation to your work. Areas of responsibility You will primarily be planning and coordinating all of our estimation work. You will also be establishing, developing and maintaining estimation methods and tools as well as recording data from projects and developing methods for estimating future projects. Furthermore, your key duties will be to: •present benchmarks and cost comparisons with relevant projects •prepare realistic cost estimates to allow management to make correct investment decisions •initiate and coordinate Cost Risk Analysis (CRA) •check estimates prepared by third parties and evaluate bids by contractors •review project costs at project decision gates. Your profile You have a degree in engineering or equivalent relevant qualifications combined with solid experience from the oil and gas industry. You have extensive and documented knowledge of cost estimation as well as recent experience with North Sea projects. Due to the size of the cost estimation department and the diversity of activities, the ideal candidate will be good at organising and driving forward individual tasks and initiatives without supervision, communicating with both management and peers, and have a good eye for detail.
