Do you wish to play a crucial part in ensuring transparency and insight in our new global support organisation? We are searching for a person to drive financial analysis and controlling for some of our global support functions. The position will be part of a RSO Cost Controlling – a global team working across the Ramboll with cost controlling globally – with daily cost controlling of support functions in Denmark as an addition to the stakeholder role. The department consist of 15 employees spread across Denmark, Finland, Germany and India. Some travel time must be expected in this role.

Job content:

The primary part of the role will be to ensure monthly sparring with functional global and local management based on reporting to ensure commitment and drive planning and analysis.

Job content consists of but is not limited to:

• Driving planning, controlling and reporting for relevant support functions

• Ensuring quality in and timely delivery of reporting on cost levels, cost allocations, impacts on business units and key performance indicators to leadership team and governance boards for areas of responsibility

• Act as Business partner to the functional leaders within your area of responsibility.

• Performing adhoc analysis and drive changes in behaviour and processes for the functions you support, as well as the support functions in general.

• Ensuring quality of postings in both P&L and Balance Sheets

• Participating in relevant management meetings

You will be working as controller for the Corporate Functions and Procurement, and will be working with senior leaders, controllers and finance partners to coordinate consolidated reporting for business reviews and stakeholder communication.

Ramboll Support Organisation (RSO) is a very new global business unit focused on establishing a platform for growth and supporting the business and the new strategy towards 2020. The business consists of the support functions IT, Facility Management,  Procurement, Communication, Finance, HR and Legal totalling above 850 employees  and spend of 200 MEUR. 

Typical assignments would be to drive development of the reporting in dialogue with leadership team and partners ensure deadlines for reporting are kept, prepare different reports and presentations, working with developing reporting tools (e.g. Power Pivot and Power BI) for more automated and integrated reporting solutions with the reporting systems team.

You and your competencies

You are a driven, hard working individual with team spirit who takes pleasure in developing new setups and can combine finance with IT with a good ability to understand the areas you work with.

We expect you to have

• A relevant education e.g. M.Sc, HD or similar with focus in economics, finance or accountancy.
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate financials to non-finance people
• Experience with controlling in large international organisations and preferably with procurement and transfer pricing as well
• Fluent English, spoken as well as written, is a prerequisite, and perhaps Danish

To succeed in the job you need to be proactive and take responsibility and be able to work independently, making decisions and communicating these as well as accepting phases of development with some "manual" work.

Development of financial setup and processes will be a large part of the job, so you must be able to maintain focus and deal with changes and understand the big picture. The combination of a strong theoretical background combined with practical experience is ideal.

You need to be structured in your approach to your assignments, be able to document decisions and agreements and communicate results, cause and effects and financials to non-finance employees and be comfortable with the consulting part of the Business Controller role. You need to have integrity and authority and to be flexible at times when circumstances demand it. You also need to be able to handle pressure in busy periods and a good understanding of processes.
