For our System Control Department in R&D at our global engineering head office in Brande, Denmark, we are looking for an experienced Safety System Chief Engineer. The department is responsible for delivering control features solutions on system level, from requirement specification to product validation. What are my responsibilities? · You will be overall responsible for the safety systems on all the four Siemens wind turbine platforms · You will insure integrity in existing and new turbine according to ISO EN 13849 and provide input to the safety part of the design basis for new turbines · You play an active role in the certification process where you will be the responsible for safety systems and operational safety functions · Provide roadmap in corporation with Load, control, electrical department and other modules · You will be interfacing to a large part of the R&D organization and have a close cooperation with the senior project managers heading the large wind turbine development projects What do I need to qualify for this job? · You have a degree in Electrical or Control Engineering or similar · You have minimum 5 years of relevant work experience within safety systems and experience with wind turbine development will be an advantage · You are proactive and structured and you have a holistic mindset and strong analytic skills · You have a result-oriented approach to your work and are capable of keeping a sense of perspective during hectic situations · You thrive in a complex and international organization · You possesses excellent communication and English skills both orally and in writing In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated.
