About the department The R&D communication team provides communications support to the R&D organisation, a global community of ~6, 000 employees based in Denmark, the US, India and China. Our focus is to connect people, facilitate knowledge-transfer, and transform ideas and potentials into R&D focused communication, branding and learning opportunities in support of the corporate strategy and Novo Nordisk’s commitment to patients. The team is international in its outlook and scope of responsibilities. We can offer a varied and dynamic working environment. The job As a key player in the R&D Communication team, your role will be to identify, shape engaging and inspiring narratives of the global R&D organisation to employees and our external audiences. Along this, you will become a content driver, author and editor of all internal off-line and on-line R&D channels, as well as a key contributor to R&D branding events aiming at showcasing and demonstrating Novo Nordisk’s commitment to combining scientific expertise with patient and disease understanding. You will work extensively with senior leaders and across multiple cross functional teams and task forces to take the lead on developing a strategic content framework and ensuring that R&D delivers key contributions to the overall communication and branding efforts of Novo Nordisk. In addition, you will provide communication advice and support to R&D senior leaders, focusing on type 1 diabetes and diabetes complications, and play a key role in R&D change communication and talent attraction projects. Qualifications You are an experienced communication professional with both a hands-on and strategic approach. To succeed here, your excellent and proven copywriting skills, team mind-set, experience in content planning and management and ability to deliver high-impact results via stakeholder engagement are crucial. A key aspect of the role is to continuously look for new, innovative opportunities, so your ability to push boundaries is also a must. You have strong influencing and relationships building skills, and are confident in playing an important role as communication advisor to senior managers in the R&D organisation. Most likely you have an editorial experience (company content or media editorial). A life science background would be useful, yet, not mandatory as long as you are an intellectually curious person. As a person you thrive in showing initiative and delivering meaningful solutions with a high degree of quality, often under pressure and tight deadlines. You have a strong familiarity with digital content domains and must be used to applying project management tools and MS Office.
