Global Procurement > PTR & NAC > Electrical
Vestas Global Procurement is overall responsible for all supply chain management activities within Vestas Wind System A/S, including Leading Cross Functional Category Teams, negotiations, cost out initiatives, Category Strategy Development and Implementation, quality and delivery performance, Supplier Account Management, localization projects, consolidation of supply base etc.

Within the Electrical category we are currently looking for a new Purchaser to join the team responsible for generator and cable sourcing. This area has the responsibility of more than 500 suppliers and manages a spend of +250 million EUR per year.

Responsibilities
You will form part of the team Generators & Cables within Electrical which has the responsibilities for the global supply base delivering cables and generator parts for the Vestas production sites. You will lead key initiatives in Global Procurement focused on supply chain optimization. Working closely with the Category Manager and key stakeholders you will:

• Take responsibility of various categories and suppliers within the Generators & Cables area, including building cost out plans and executing with suppliers
• Become a dedicated part of the Category Team, working across different business units within Vestas and providing input to and implementation of the category strategies. Key stakeholders will be your colleagues from R&D, Quality and Manufacturing as they will form the key part of the category team you will be managing
• Ensure adherence to KPI's set by Global Procurement in regards to safety, quality, cost, delivery, innovation and sustainability
• Support the global Vestas factories located in Europe, China, India, US and Brazil
• Participate in selection, qualification, negotiation and contracting with suppliers within the category

Qualifications
The right candidate can be a newly graduated with a M.Sc. in Economics & Business Administration, M.Sc. in Engineering, or a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration or other relevant education or minimum 3 years of work experience within Strategic Purchasing. Moreover, you will:

• Master English both verbally and in writing fluently
• Be an experienced IT user (Microsoft Office) especially SAP, Excel, Power Point and generally an easy learner when it comes to ERP systems, data analysis etc.
• Have strong communication skills and thrives in negotiating contracts on a professional level

Additional information
