We offer the possibility to lead the development of the product and power plant strategy for Vestas, the industry leading renewable company. Power Solutions > Product Management > Product StrategyProduct Strategy has a central role in Vestas developing and executing the global product strategy to ensure Vestas has a competitive product program. The function is anchored in Product Management in the business unit Vestas Power Solutions which is accountable for the P&L for wind turbine and power solutions. The products cover all Vestas wind turbines and power plant solutions delivering a revenue of more than 80% of Vestas total revenue. The position reports to the Vice President of Product Strategy. Plans are built in a 2-5 year perspective including collection and consolidation of market requirements, market segmentation, competitor monitoring and benchmarking, product road mapping, market introductions of new products and sales deal support. Based on this work Vestas takes new product development investments and supply chain investments to launch new products. To develop a strong aligned product strategy, the team works with many stakeholders across the entire company. The KPI's are result oriented and based on competitiveness and profitability. ResponsibilitiesAs Director of Turbine Products you will have 10 specialists reporting directly to you. You will be responsible for:

• Lead and drive the wind turbine product strategy team
• Develop and own the long-term vision and product roadmaps for wind turbines including alignment of product development plans with the regional market strategies
• Ensure product life cycle management of the wind turbine products including follow-up on revenue and earnings and devise actions based on the commercial product life cycle performance
• Lead and drive interdisciplinary efforts to boost competitiveness across the Vestas value chain
• Create business cases in relation to new product development
• Be a key member of the team developing Vestas’ product strategies
• Participate in customer dialogues and the interpretation of market and customer trends
• Define the product requirements for new development products
• Be a “gate keeper” in the product development projects to ensure that the product requirements are fulfilled.

Qualifications

• You have minimum 7 years of leadership experience from product management, product development or similar roles within a technically focused business-to-business industry.
• You have proven success in leadership roles with demonstrated ability to lead highly-skilled teams to best results.
• You have solid experience from an industry with complex, long-lived, capital intensive products like wind turbines.
• You have excellent understanding of a wind OEM's product portfolio, business model, business drivers and value chain insight.
• You possess strong stakeholder management skills and have a commercial, market-driven mindset
• You have excellent communication skills and used to working in a global company and are fluent in English
• You hold a B.Sc. or M.Sc. or an MBA - preferably a technical education combined with a commercial education or relevant commercial experience or in Business/Economics combined with a technical education or relevant technical experience.
