Vattenfall is now looking for an Project Engineer Installation Logistics (Cables) (m/f) for our Marine Operations & Logistics department team. The position can be filled in Hamburg, Kolding or UK (London or Hexham). It is a permanent position. Your job as Project Engineer Installation Logistics (Cables) consist of, but are not limited to: • You support offshore wind projects during the development, procurement, engineering & implementation phase • You review and evaluate tender documents and support procurement in the negotiation process • You manage cable installation matters during engineering and implementation phase with a focus on the inner array cable offshore installation campaigns • You review, evaluate and comment on the submission of Risk Assessments and Method Statements proposed by the Contractor for all maritime operations and liaise with the MWS • You work with the Package Manager to ensure that documents are delivered on time and reviewed within the set periods within the project • You work with the package engineers to ensure that interface designs and any issues affecting the timeliness of installation are reviewed and optimised You will work with Construction Management, Installation Logistics team and the Package to ensure that there is an adequate system of communications for offshore marine management and reporting, including participation in a daily construction coordination calls during all IAC site activities. You provide input and coordination of the input documents for 2nd and 3rd BSH release application submissions. It will be your task to monitor and coordinate activities and progress by respective contractor. Additionally, you coordinate and optimise project processes to ensure HSSE requirements and project quality being met as well as risk management. Lastly, you take over tasks in and act as member of the expert group ‘Marine Operations & Logistics’. Your profile as Project Engineer Installation Logistics (Cables) • University degree in maritime related subject, engineering, marine logistics management, shipping or similar • Solid knowledge and experience regarding vessel operations and maritime logistics as well as cable and/or pipe laying operations, ideally in the offshore wind sector • Coordination, communication and project management skills as well as a structured work approach • Work experience within project and contract management for major industrial size projects • Ability to enjoy working in an international team and to build up strong relationships with partners • English business language skills are required and fluent German is desirable, additional Danish and/or Dutch language skills would be a plus • Typical office and project management IT skills • GIS and Autocad skills are an added plus • Physical ability to achieve required medical certificates for offshore work and successfully pass required offshore trainings according to GWO standard • Willingness to travel within Northern Europe and work offshore At Vattenfall Wind you will work in a dynamic, professional, international environment with highly skilled and motivated colleagues.
