Power Solutions/Product Management/Product Strategy

In a highly competitive and globalised market, Product Management drives the Vestas Plant Product Strategy. We set the direction for future commercial hybrid wind power plant solutions where we combine wind with solar and storage to make sure that Vestas always has the right competitive product offerings to stay ahead of competitors. Product Management has a global reach into our sales regions, including Technical Sales Management who has the responsibility for technical sales and bid management. 

 

In everything we do we have a customer oriented approach. We are measured the impact the products have on Vestas' profitability and ability to continuously support our customers technical requirements. We are responsible for bringing hybrid power plant products to the market globally across our Sales Business Units to support local market success and by this considering the dynamics of the global market.

 

Product Management lead the product through the value chain, all the way to the market and in this process, we corporate with stakeholders across Vestas. 

 

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining the road map for electrical balance of plant with special focus on SCADA & Cyber Security. And depending on background your responsibilities will cover:

• Develop product roadmap for the SCADA/Cyber Security and build value propositions. 
• Support the go-to-market activities of the SCADA/Cyber Security products
• Create product presentation packages for use by technical sales
• Perform market deep-dives within the SCADA and Cyber Security to identify ways of optimising Vestas’ product offering - reflecting market, competitor and customer dynamics.
• Initiate feasibility studies of different Product Roadmap opportunities and contribute to studies in terms of commercial evaluation and ability to match market requirements.
• Initiate and drive the scoping, business case preparation and compilation of gate material for development projects within plant area
• Initiate/review detailed electrical abstractJV_descriptions for SCADA and Cyber Security within Technical Sales Management
• Drive/support the requirement collection

Qualifications

• You hold a B.Sc. or M.Sc. - either in software engineering or similar experience preferably combined with relevant commercial experience/education 
• You have 3+ years' experience preferably from SCADA or cyber security positions, or from Business to-Business product management
• Understanding of a similar industry's product portfolio, business model, business drivers, and value chain is an advantage
• You possess excellent communication skills, and are fluent in English, written and spoken

Additional information

The primary work location is Vestas Headquarter in Aarhus, Denmark. Travel activities up to approx. 30 days per year should be anticipated.
