We are looking for a Technical Project Manager in Test Engineering, so if you can say yes to the above and like to be challenged, we have an exciting opportunity for you!  

Power Conversion; PEX test; Test engineering

The department is responsible for the development of production test systems for Vestas. The test systems are often turn key deliveries with a high degree of tailoring and engineering included. Most engineering are done by an internal team of engineers but we often also have one or more sub-contractors as a part of our projects.

We deliver test systems for all aspects of the turbine for example electrical switchboards, converters, generators, nacelles etc. and our projects characterizes by being both technological as well as organizational complex.

  

We are searching a Project Manager who balances technical knowledge with the project management disciplines, so if you have experience with leading technical complex projects, you could be the right person for this job

Responsibilities

You will be heading one or more projects at a time depending on the size and complexity. You manage our projects end to end, so you will be the person who represents the project from requirement specific is initiated and until the take-over certificate has been signed by the costumer.

Your responsibilities:

• Lead your project team and ensure necessary progress in your projects and highlight deviations and issues 
• Ensure tasks are prioritized in your projects so that people always work on the right and value adding tasks
• Manage sub-contractors and suppliers to ensure they perform as agreed 
• Create resource estimates and ensure resources are allocated to your projects from the line organization
• Prepare and conduct Steering committee- and project status meetings
• Ensure that processes are followed and contribute to a continuous improvement of our processes as well

Qualifications

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree as Electrical, Marine engineer or similar. 

Furthermore:

• You have minimum three years of experience within technical project management, leading technical complex projects
• You have an IPMA certification or similar
• You are used to managing and handling sub-contractors and sub suppliers
• You are a good communicator, and you are able to communicate cross different cultures
• Experience from the electrical area will be an advantage

Additional information

Primary work location will be in Hammel, but work on our other locations in DK must be expected.
