Do you want to be our next Offshore IT Specialist? Maersk Drilling offers a great opportunity for an IT infrastructure specialist to engineer and supervise key IT solutions that support our offshore drilling units working in a strategically important area within a highly successful and ambitious company. We Offer In Maersk Drilling IT we play a pivotal role in executing the overall strategy of Maersk Drilling. Being part of the Offshore IT Group, you will be responsible for engineering key IT infrastructure and IT solutions that are used to deliver offshore IT services. You will be IT Supervisor for a number of drilling units. At Maersk Drilling we are currently increasing our fleet with several new drilling units and we have a focus improving our existing fleet. As Offshore IT Specialist you will be working with state of the art technology, building business cases for new ideas and provide leadership and project management for implementation, migration and technical support for IT offshore projects. You will be based in our office in Lyngby and reporting to the Head of Offshore IT. As part of the role, you will be travelling a minimum of 40 days a year, to visit offshore units. Key Responsibilities As Offshore IT Specialist, you will be responsible for deploying, maintaining and repairing the IT infrastructure and solutions on our offshore units and in the processes you provideing leadership and project management. Your role entails: ? Ensuring that requirements from the units are collected, prioritised and executed upon. ? Facilitating collaboration between offshore units and Maersk Drilling IT. ? Keeping overview of the IT installations on specific rigs to provide consultancy for both the rig and the rest of Maersk Drilling. ? Visiting each rig within your responsibility twice a year and engaging with the rig for additional support. ? Ensuring configuration of communications equipment, circuits and software ? Writing, testing and documenting, procedures and installation/configuration guides to improve operation and support Also, acting as IT Supervisor on a number of units, you will be the single point of contact on extraordinary IT enquiries from rigs and facilitate contact to other Maersk Drilling IT employees. Further, you will be participating as Maersk Drilling IT representative in new offshore IT projects for specific rigs, e.g. Yard Stays, and you will at times be coordinating efforts between units and 3rd party suppliers. Who we are looking for You possess broad and extensive experience in IT infrastructure and have successfully worked with: ? IP networks and is familiar with routing and switching within LAN and WAN as well as implications of using VSAT. ? IT, telecom and utility systems from a system and network perspective. ? Project management of complex IT infrastructure projects. ITIL process experience and certification is an advantage, and preferably you have knowledge of the drilling industry. As you will be working across Maersk Drilling and within a broad field, it is important that you possess good interpersonal and strong communication skills.
