We are seeking an engaged Post-Doctoral Fellow (2 years) for implementation and optimisation of Multi Attribute Method (MAM) at Novo Nordisk. About the department

The position is anchored in department of MS Characterisation which is part of the Assay, Analysis and Characterisation area in R&D Global Research Technologies. Department of MS Characterisation is located in Måløv and consists of 10 scientists, 8 laboratory technicians and currently 2 PhD students and 1 post-doctoral fellow. The project will furthermore be carried out in collaboration with department of CMC Analytical Support in R&D CMC DP Development.

 

The position

The position is a 2 year STAR post-doctoral position, situated in department of MS Characterisation in Global Research Technologies. As the project is a joint project between Global Research Technologies and CMC development the candidate will be engaged in both departments and areas. The project focuses on further implementation and development of the multi attribute method for analysis of critical quality attributes of biopharmaceuticals at Novo Nordisk. Optimisation and robustness assessment of the LC-MS/MS platform will be a crucial part of the project as will evaluation of different software platforms (e.g. Genedata Expressionist and Protein Metrics suite) for data analysis. Optimisation of enzymatic digestions will be followed by automatization of the protocol for easy access and faster sample throughput. You will be working in close collaboration with scientists and laboratory technicians in the area.

 

Qualifications

You hold a PhD degree in protein chemistry, protein biophysics, molecular biology or related area, with experience in either protein/peptide characterisation by LC-MS or in proteomics related studies. Hands-on experience with Orbitrap mass spectrometers, equipped with liquid chromatography are a requirement and is to be used throughout the project. Strong knowledge in different software platforms for protein characterisation/identification is required. Knowledge about Genedata Expressionist or Protein Metrics software platforms would be an advantage. Finally knowledge about liquid handling systems or other robotics systems would be an advantage.

 

On a personal level, you are innovative, proactive and self-driven, collaborative, flexible, and you thrive in a dynamic team-based research environment. You enjoy working independently and have excellent written and oral communication skills.  High personal commitment and ambitions for an industrial career is desirable.
