PhD position, Bacterial Secretion Systems, Bagsvaerd A PhD position is available in the department of Bacterial Strain Technology at Novozymes in Bagsvaerd, Denmark. The studentship is financed by an Initial Training Network (ITN) program of Marie Curie. The project title is: ProteinFactory – Engineering of new-generation protein secretion systems. You will be part of an international team of 15 PhD students from 7 different European countries who will work on the different tasks set up to develop new protein production systems that can deliver secreted enzymes and membrane proteins in greater yields, with higher quality and at lower costs. The lab work is carried out at Novozymes, Denmark. All these students will participate in several workshops, meetings and courses. This provides a unique possibility to form a network of fellow scientists with a common research interest. The PhD will also be assigned to Copenhagen University to reach the final PhD degree. Expected start is July 1st,2015. In this position you need to have A strong background in molecular biology/biochemistry with a Master’s degree. Residence permit (citizenship) of an EU or EU-associated country other than Denmark. Researchers must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the country of their host organization for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the date of selection by the host institution.
