Lyngby / Temporary / Administration-Facility Management / Ref.: MD-084117 We are looking for a Personal Assistant (PA) to the Maersk Drilling Chief Operating Officer (COO) Angela Durkin. The position is based in our brand new domicile in Lyngby. As PA to the COO, your primary responsibility is to assist the COO in managing daily business in a timely and accurate manner. We Offer Maersk Drilling Operations is responsible for the day to day operation of our fleet of drilling rigs across the world. We currently operate 22 rigs covering both Jack ups and deep water drilling units. In Operations all parts of running a business come together, so subjects like HSE, Commercial, HR, Maintenance and projects are all disciplines that are on the daily agenda. Furthermore, the Operations department has support functions that provide analytical expertise towards both the drilling operation and process excellence. As the COO's PA, you will get a unique learning opportunity and insight into top-level management. The position will provide you with insight into Maersk Drilling and into the A.P. Moller - Maersk Group at the corporate level. You will develop your administrative skills in an interesting environment and while supporting our COO you will get a broad network of colleagues and external stakeholders, locally as well as globally. Key Responsibilities As PA maternity cover you will have a number of different tasks, e.g.: • Activity planning • Correspondence tasks including taking minutes of meetings and follow up on action points • Arranging and preparing necessary materials for meetings and travels • Handle tasks in our financial system • Making all necessary arrangements to ensure smooth and fast set-up of new employees in the department • Assist with creation and preparation of presentations in PowerPoint • Budget management and cost control in cooperation with the Department Secretary • Updating of Intranet Operations site on a regular basis • Ad hoc administrative tasks and other ad hoc tasks, as directed by the COO and Asset Managers Who we are looking for A self-driven and service-oriented candidate with the ability to demonstrate business acumen and interact in a professional manner with the COO stakeholders at all levels. You are energetic, motivated for new challenges and open minded with a “can-do” attitude. Your communications skills should be excellent in both spoken and written English. The ideal candidate is comfortable with delivering high-end service and support and must be motivated to learn. You have a sense of urgency and an ability to remain calm also in a busy environment. You are proactive and work independently driving issues to closure. You have a proven track-record from a similar position. You have a good overview and the ability to plan, organize and work systematically. You have advanced Microsoft Office skills and experience with financial systems. Experience from a global organization is an advantage and flexibility in the working hours required. The position is time limited to approximately 12 months, starting at the latest 1st of November.
