Research Scientist, PostDoc, Bacterial Discovery, Copenhagen/Bagsvaerd (3-year position) Do you want to work in an environment in which creativity and challenging the status quo is as valued as scientific excellence? If so, you could be our new colleague in Bacterial Discovery, an ambitious team of 28 highly skilled scientists and research associates based in Copenhagen/Bagsvaerd. As applied molecular biotechnologist in Bacterial Discovery, you will have the daily responsibility to independently plan, carry out and report laboratory experiments in agreement with the project group, and you will set the direction and participate in creating a high performing team around our microbiome platform. The focus will be on the investigation of biological solutions for the Danish agriculture where intelligent and efficient solutions are needed for a sustainable future. You will be employed at Novozymes in a 3-year PostDoc position and will play a critical part in our “Future Cropping” collaboration with Danish industry and universities, see a short description here (in Danish only). You strive towards excellence and are updated on technologies and tools in the microbiome research field. You ensure the implementation of new methods and equipment and have the competencies to solve technical problems. In this position you need to: Have a strong scientific background (PhD) in environmental microbiology, plant/microbe interactions, genetics or molecular biotechnology combined with relevant practical work experience within the field Preferably have experience with microbiome analysis techniques and bioinformatics analysis Have peer-reviewed publications or filed patents within the field of molecular biology and microbiology or plant/microbe interactions Have excellent verbal and written English communication skills Have an outgoing global mindset and thrive in a challenging and informal working environment Are you the next Zymer in our team?
