Quantitative Clinical Pharmacology is part of Clinical Pharmacology & Translational Medicine in Global Development.

In Global Development, we are responsible for managing clinical drug development worldwide from early development to product introduction and life cycle management. We ensure medical and scientific documentation for clinical submissions and authorities, ensuring a process living up to global standards, regulations and business ethics. We work in global project teams with focus on delivering viable products that make a difference to patients and ultimately benefit society.

 

About the department

The Quantitative Clinical Pharmacology department supports the entire Novo Nordisk development portfolio with model-based analyses from planning and execution of first in human trials to registration. We are a team of dedicated modelling scientists with an important role in the development of new drugs at Novo Nordisk as responsible for designing, analysing, interpreting, communicating and reporting quantitative clinical pharmacology information at all stages of clinical drug development.

 

The position

As Modelling Scientist you will be part of multidisciplinary project teams where you will be responsible for developing modelling analysis plans, ensure initiation of modelling early in the development process, conduct modelling and simulation tasks using state of the art technology for the project and follow them to completion.

 

Qualifications

You hold a university degree, e.g. in statistics, engineering, pharmacy or other, complemented by a PhD in a relevant area. You must have in depth understanding of pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics, statistical methodology, and data interpretation as well as hands-on experience performing model-based analyses using R and/or NONMEM (general R programming skills will be in focus when evaluating competences). You are innovative with a high degree of independence, result- and quality oriented, and thrive in a continuously changing environment with tight deadlines. You appreciate an informal atmosphere and act as a dedicated team player. As your colleagues will have different academic backgrounds, good presentation and communication skills are essential. You are fluent in English both orally and written.
