We have an opening for a position where we're looking for a Middleware Technical Architect with hands-on experience from JSE/JEE, Application Servers, Micro-services, SOA, and experience from PaaS and IaaS implementations and who would like to take responsibility for developing our PaaS offering further as well being part of developing our other shared infrastructure services to the rest of the IT organization in Nordea. The position we offer In the position we offer, you will be responsible for the design of our Java Hosting Platform which we offer to the Nordea organization as PaaS (Platform as a Service). As we focus very much on compliancy and efficiency as parts of the value chain in our domain, the role offers you the possibility to develop and improve the platform capabilities as well as its supporting services. You will therefore not only work with highly skilled and professional SME’s, Technical and Solution Architects but also direct towards our supported internal Business IT units and their representatives which could be seen as “internal customers” to our services. You will have a great opportunity to meet and collaborate with professionals from other roles, as well being a sparring partner for management. As a Middleware Technical Architect, you’ll be working in a team of various specialists that share a common interest and responsibility for Nordea’s Middleware Java Hosting Platform which we named with the appropriate name - “Ninja”. You will work closely with Platform products and technologies as well be involved in application technologies and frameworks in a scalable High Available infrastructure where several resiliency layers are involved. As a team member you will support the unit’s mission and strive towards Simplification, Automation, Compliance and Self Service Solutions where the scope spans from classic JEE establishments to Micro-services and container based Cloud provisioning’s. The Application Hosting Domain for Java applications currently host over 250 applications and is growing rapidly. We are currently in a very interesting and important transition where we adapting and maturing the Application Hosting Domain to a new level to support tomorrows business requirements. Within Group IT I&O Infrastructure, unit Hosting and Integration is responsible for developing and maintaining enterprise services for the Java Engineering Domain as part of shared infrastructure offered in Nordea IT. You will be positioned in sub-unit Platform and Integration Services who has the focus on developing the Java platform capabilities and supporting services as well integrating business applications to the enterprise solutions.
