We are looking to employ a medical doctor (MD) with extensive medical/research background within the field of endocrine or haematology disorders and with a passion for drug development. You will be part of a team of highly talented colleagues working within clinical development. About the department

Medical & Science, Biopharm is part of Global Development situated in Søborg, Copenhagen, Denmark. Biopharm is focused on rare diseases, hence we work within an area of great passion for the few patients and continuously building upon learnings is key among our collaborators. We are medically responsible for clinical development strategies and programmes of the Novo Nordisk Biopharm portfolio for the treatment of endocrine and haematology relates diseases. Our core responsibility is scientific and medical support, which is used for planning, execution and reporting of clinical trials and is used to support health authority interactions throughout the entire life-cycle of a drug. The department consists of 8-10 medical specialists (MDs) with various background, experience and personalities and this is our strong asset in a diverse environment.

 

The position

You will be working together with talented, ambitious and dedicated medical specialists. You will be involved in a great variety of tasks, both within the disease area as well as in cross-organisational projects. You will be involved in the planning and support of early as well as late stage clinical development projects and expected to take on the medical responsibility for these. 

Successful candidates are dedicated team players who can communicate high-quality and relevant medical input to design and conduct of clinical trials, interpretation of data, documentation of trial results and support in regulatory submissions and interactions - always maintaining a patient-centric mind-set and keeping a proactive attitude despite challenges. 

You will collaborate closely with colleagues across the Novo Nordisk organisation. The job is globally oriented and will require strong interactions with colleagues in regional offices as well as external stakeholders including regulatory bodies, treating physicians and therapeutic experts. You should have a flair for building and using both internal and external network(s) and use the learnings obtained within this position.

 

Qualifications

You must hold a university degree as a Medical Doctor and have extensive medical/research background within the field of endocrine or haematology from the pharmaceutical or biotech industry. It is an advantage if you have experience within drug development. But most importantly, you have a passion for clinical research and drug development. 

You are a flexible, open-minded and dedicated team player with the ability to take on an informal leadership role and a strong communicator. In addition, you thrive in a global environment of continuous and fast development with an attitude to learn in order to develop fit-for-purpose development plans which brings relevant results.

Interaction with internal and external global experts require proficiency in English, excellent communication, coordination and planning capacities. You may expect travelling activity of approximately 15-30 days per year.
