Micro-mechanical development for medical devices In your new job you will be part of Oticon Medical R&D consisting of three development sites; Smørum in Denmark, Gothenburg in Sweden and Vallauris on the French Riviera. You will develop state-of-the-art sound processors and be working in a multi-disciplinary and competent product development team together with Electro-Acoustic Engineers, Audiologists, Embedded System Designers and Software Developers. Interaction with development teams at other Oticon Medical sites, with internal and external subcontractors and with production facilities will be a natural part of your daily routine. Responsibilities include: •Micro-mechanical design – from requirements and concepts to products running in production •Idea creation and design management •3D CAD modeling – we use PTC Creo •Cost and production optimization of designs •Design documentation and design reviews •Ensuring regulatory compliance of materials and designs As part of the William Demant Group, Oticon Medical benefits from state-of-the-art facilities within prototyping, reliability testing, tools manufacturing and production technologies. Furthermore, you will have easy access to a vast pool of designs and knowledge from platform development teams in the William Demant Group. Recently graduated or senior Mechanical Design Engineer? We expect you to hold a B.Sc. or a M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and have at least a few years of relevant experience. We expect you to be an experienced in 3D drawings in programs such as CAD, Pro-E or similar. Furthermore, it is an advantage if you have experience from medical or electronic device development. As a person you are an efficient networker who quickly adapts to the varying projects you are working on. You have good communication skills and are a team player by heart. You are motivated by hands-on mechanical design and product development with a clear focus on customer needs, and by working in cross-professional development teams. You are dedicated about your work, are self-managed and constantly focused on your goals. You enjoy working with colleagues from other cultures, and are able to travel 20-30 days per year.
