The position as Mechanical Design Engineer is situated in our very modern facilities alongside our Electronic R&D, Product Management and our Service Department, but you interface with colleagues in many other countries. Some domestic and international travel may be required. We offer We are offering a position in our R&D Department, working closely with Electronic R&D, Production Engineering, Procurement, Service and Quality Management teams to integrate and optimize state of the art technologies. We are involved in Product Development from concept phase, design and validation of prototypes, through to series release. Key responsibilities As our Mechanical Design Engineer, your tasks will include the following: Researching, designing, developing and testing mechanic and mechatronic components and systems for commercial construction and Machine Control Applications, according to given product specifications Collaborating with multi-discipline and worldwide project teams Involvement in new product concepts and optimizing of existing products Design of components and related assemblies in CAD Create documentation such as drawings, BOM, technical specification and test reports Engage in technical negotiations with vendors Interact with vendors and participate in DFM and DFA processes to access component and assemblies manufacturability Designing and validation of prototypes to proof concepts Manage prototype- and product testing Participate in FMEA and follow-up´s on generated improvements Contribute to continuous improvement of processes within the R&D team and product life cycle Contribute to the generation of intellectual property Keeping up to date with developments in new technologies Participate in cross training and knowledge transfer initiatives across R&D teams Your profile You have a relevant degree in Mechanical Engineering, Precision Engineering or Mechatronics looking
