About the department
We are approximately 30 employees in the R&D department, consisting of principal scientists, research scientists and laboratory technicians. You will become a laboratory technician in the Microanalysis Centre which consists of 12 dedicated and talented employees. The core expertise of the team lies within microanalysis by optimising existing analytical identification methods and processes. We work in close collaboration with the production and development areas at Novo Nordisk in Denmark and internationally. The atmosphere is relaxed, creative and at times hectic and we always strive to improve the way we do things. 

 

The job
As a laboratory technician in the Microanalysis Centre, your key responsibilities will be to carry out microanalysis tasks for our customers in Novo Nordisk. To solve this task, you will be operating advanced laboratory equipment such as stereomicroscopes, FTIR, RAMAN, AFM-IR, FlowCam, SEM and EDS/EDX. As you progress and gain experience, you will be qualified on various technical equipment. You can also expect to work on development projects, both internally in the R&D department, as well as for our customers in Novo Nordisk.

You will be expected to conduct daily and weekly planning of your work, in close cooperation with the team and your manager. We work in a cLEAN way and always strive for full compliance and excellence in all aspects of our work.

Qualifications
You are a fully qualified laboratory technician or biomedical laboratory technician. You possess a strong quality mind set and you strive for excellence in all aspects of your work. You have a strong analytical mindset, which you have proven in relation to your studies and perhaps previous employment.

Preferably you have worked with sample preparation and technical equipment such stereomicroscopes and FTIR.

You can work closely together with customers, solving the tasks at hand while the customer waits or participates in the analysis work. You are fully capable of handling customer relations over the phone, email and in person.

You can multitask and thrive in an agile environment, where priorities shift from day to day, hour by hour, depending on the demands and needs of our customers. You are flexible and when faced with challenges you look for answers and solutions, rather than wait to be told what to do.

It is a requirement that you are fluent in English, oral and written, as some of our customers only speak and understand English.

Finally, you have a thorough understanding of the necessity of teamwork and dedication to solving the tasks at hand, as Novo Nordisk relies on our accurate and fast response to the problems presented to us.
